Retreats with Henry
Henry’s retreats are a chance to gather in community to investigate our true nature, and settle into the deep rest and peace that it can provide.
Each retreat offers an exploration, from the heart, of various themes and practices inherent in Henry’s Original Love program. The four main “zones of practice” in this program are Mindfulness, Connectedness, Flow, and Awakening.
In the course of each retreat day, Henry offers guided meditations, and talks that are often infused with poetry, with teachings old and new, with quotes from beloved authors and poignant stories.
Retreats also offer Q&A periods, where students will have the chance to ask questions, and hear answers to the questions that other students have on their minds and hearts.

3-day retreat with Henry in Washington DC
This 3-day retreat is a rare opportunity for people who have been meditating with The Way and in the Original Love programs, and any others who are drawn to Henry’s approach, to gather together for three days of deep practice and renewal.
Traditionally, the shared space of a retreat, where we sit in community over several days, have always been seen as the preeminent way to deepen our practice and our understanding of life, compassion and peace.
Over the three days, as we go deeper into practice, we will have guided meditations, silent sitting, talks, teachings, poetry, Q&A’s, discussion time and plenty of opportunity to meet and hang out in community.
The teaching will be based on various methods and approaches from Zen and other ancient meditation schools, which allow us to come back to our true home – one of peace, awareness, ease and “original love.”
In this retreat, Henry will be drawing inspiration and teachings from his newly published book, Original Love: The Four Inns on the Path of Awakening.
